Attention Roubler user: This article is intended for employees who use Roubler to view their roster and manage their shifts.
Who is this article for?
This article is for you if:
Your shifts are created and published in Roubler.
You need to see when you are working and manage changes such as availability or shift swaps.
What will you learn?
After reading this article, you will know how to:
Log in to Roubler (mobile app and browser).
View your roster and understand how shifts are displayed.
Respond to new or changed shifts (including notifications).
Swap shifts with other employees, where your employer has enabled this.
Manage your availability so you are not rostered when you can’t work.
Before you start
You will need:
An active Roubler account (set up by your employer).
Either:
The Roubler mobile app installed on your phone (iOS, Android or Huawei), or
Access to the Roubler web portal in a browser.
If you’re not sure what your Roubler login details are, please contact your manager or local payroll/HR team.
Viewing your roster
Once you’re logged in, you can view your upcoming shifts.
On the mobile app
From the home screen, tap Roster or Shifts (wording may differ slightly depending on your app version).
Use the day, week, or month view (if available) to see:
Date of each shift.
Start and finish times.
Location / work area / role.
Any breaks or notes added by your manager.
In a web browser
From the main menu, select Roster, Schedule, or My shifts (name may differ slightly).
Use the navigation arrows or date picker to move between weeks.
Click on any shift to see more details such as:
Location or cost centre.
Any attached tasks or notes (if used by your business).
Understanding shift updates & notifications
When your manager publishes or changes the roster, you may receive:
A notification on your phone (push notification).
An email alerting you to new or changed shifts.
Common examples:
New shift added – You’ll see a new shift appear in your roster.
Shift time changed – Start or finish times will update in the app/browser.
Shift cancelled – The shift will be removed from your roster or marked as cancelled.
Always check your Roubler app or the web portal after any notification to confirm your current roster.
Accepting or rejecting offered shifts (where enabled)
Some employers use Roubler to send shifts that employees can accept or reject (for example, extra or “open” shifts).
If this is enabled at your workplace:
Open the Roubler app.
Go to Shifts, Requests, or a similar section for available shifts.
Review the details of each offered shift (date, time, location).
Tap Accept or Decline on the shift.
Once you respond:
Accepted shifts will appear in your main roster.
Declined shifts will no longer show as available to you.
Not all businesses use this feature. If you don’t see any accept/decline options, your shifts may be simply assigned to you by your manager.
Swapping shifts with another employee (where enabled)
If your employer has enabled shift swapping, you can offer your shift to another eligible employee in the same location.
Offer your shift to others
Open the Roubler app and go to Roster or My shifts.
Find the shift you can’t work.
Tap on the shift, then look for an option such as Swap, Offer shift, or Share shift.
Follow the prompts to offer the shift to other employees at your location.
What happens next:
A notification is sent to eligible coworkers that a shift is available.
The shift stays on your roster until someone accepts it.
Once another employee accepts, your roster and theirs are updated automatically.
If no one accepts the swap, you’re still responsible for working the original shift.
Managers can turn shift swapping on or off at any time. If you don’t see a swap option, this feature may be disabled for your workplace.
Managing your availability
To help your manager roster you correctly, you can record when you are not available to work.
Set or update your availability
In the Roubler app or web portal, go to Availability or My availability.
Choose whether you’re setting:
Ongoing/recurring unavailability (for example, every Wednesday evening), or
A one-off period you can’t work.
Select the relevant dates and times.
Add a brief reason if requested (for example, “class”, “second job”).
Save or submit your changes.
Your manager will see your unavailability when creating rosters, which helps avoid being rostered at times you’ve said you can’t work.
Common questions
Q: I can’t see my upcoming shifts – what should I do?
Check you are logged into the correct company in Roubler (if you work at multiple sites/brands).
Pull down to refresh your roster in the app.
Confirm with your manager that the roster has been published.
Q: I don’t see any option to swap shifts or accept/decline shifts.
These options only appear if your employer has enabled the relevant features in Roubler.
If you believe they should be available, speak with your manager.
Q: My roster looks different between the app and the web. Which one is correct?
Both views read from the same Roubler data.
If you see a difference, try:
Refreshing the app / browser.
Signing out and back in.
If it still looks wrong, capture a screenshot and escalate to your manager or support team.
Need more help?
If you still need help:
Contact your manager or local payroll/HR team in the first instance.
If your organisation has an internal HelpMe / support portal, log a request with:
A short description of the issue (for example, “Roster not visible in Roubler”).
Any screenshots that show what you’re seeing in the app or browser.
